wonder how would it move were it not by me
close my eyes and feel it flow
then wade in slowly, I’m alone
what if it froze right there right over my feet
and I scream & pound down
now hard formed like a street
when waiting for calm
darker-middled
day dreams raze
a threat that chills through the mellow
can never mind it all
I say,
that seems easier
I tell this side
don’t like how the sky looks to me...
I leave for cover in the trees
now paranoid in water-clinged clothes
I hear a voice crack in the grove
what if my mind played up some old world deceit
swapped out whom for a foot stomped root
or the wind whistling?
“nothing is ever lost”
or a jumbled
fake-out inspiring thought
someone spoke from the meadow
could I be in-clued to their cool attitude?
